Visual Inspection Operator

Location: Birmingham, AL

Pay: $25.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (overtime and future shift changes possible)

Duration: 1 year contract with potential for extension

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Visual Inspection Operator to perform manual inspection of finished products in a quality-driven manufacturing environment. This role requires strong focus, precision, and the ability to follow strict inspection standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform manual visual inspection of finished products to identify defects and nonconformities
  • Manipulate individual units while following detailed inspection criteria and procedures
  • Complete product sampling, labeling, and final packaging tasks
  • Operate basic equipment and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Accurately record inspection results and numerical data
  • Support equipment setup, maintenance, and basic repairs as needed
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety policies, and PPE requirements
  • Work within defined parameters to ensure consistent product quality



Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Documented 20/20 near vision (or better) required (no color blindness)
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for long durations
  • Basic math and data recording skills
  • Clear verbal communication and ability to follow instructions



Additional Requirements



  • Ability to work in a regulated, quality-controlled environment
  • Comfortable using personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures with minimal supervision
