What the day will look like

  • Own the development plan for enhanced reinsurance pipeline management, collaborating with Office Leaders to monitor and drive the completion/maintenance of our US Regional reinsurance pipeline through oversight of the broader group of origination brokers.
  • Utilizing the pipeline to develop competitive business strategies to react and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Create and drive best practices across origination brokers for the development and execution of bespoke prospecting strategies, including managing the feedback loop from prospecting efforts to ensure the continued development of the tools and capabilities needed to foster growth
  • Develop and contribute to content that shares new offering plans with necessary teams internally (Aon Leadership, Analytics, Product Leaders, and Client Segment Leaders) as well as through external content to ensure broad application of invested assets and partnerships that continue to evolve Aon's value proposition to our Regional reinsurance clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with other Reinsurance Client Segment leaders to identify synergies and opportunities to further scale and align innovation and investment strategies.
  • Oversee and manage on-going RFP (Request for Proposal) tracking in the US reinsurance regional client segment, providing strategic leadership to position and differentiate Aon's unique value proposition.
  • Ability to effectively and independently conduct relevant business discussions at the most senior level (CEO/CFO)
  • Gain experience in reinsurance brokerage through being a team member of a US Regional account team (approx. 20% of time)
  • Adheres to Aon processes and procedures and all quality service requirements to deliver exceptional client value
  • Recognized as a company leader; committed to continuous improvement and client revenue generation and value creation
  • Fosters and promotes team approach to both internal and external business relationships
  • Manages T&E expenses within corporate guidelines
  • Commitment to pursuing self-development of knowledge and skills in evolving world of insurance, reinsurance, and analytics
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and reinsurers

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 12 years related experience in (re)insurance, including underwriting, product development, and strategy development experience in the US Regional insurance market
  • A proven track record of acting as a remuneration consultant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills building and managing client relationships.
  • Collegiate team player and proven experience of mentoring a team, committed to working with and developing team members.
  • Good communication skills - both written and face-to-face, ability to simplify and summarize complex information based on client needs.
  • Able to manage stakeholder requirements and expectations.
  • Strong communications skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000 to $300,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

A summary of all the benefits offered for this position:
