DESCRIPTION

Come join our team at the Koman Outpatient Pavilion, an 8,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art outpatient facility designed to deliver exceptional orthopedic and sports rehabilitation care. The clinic features both indoor and outdoor treatment areas and is equipped with advanced assistive technology, including an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill, Noraxon movement analysis systems, instrumented treadmills, force plates, and an isokinetic machine, providing an innovative and comprehensive environment for patient care and professional growth.

This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality physical therapy services, including the evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients with orthopedic and sports-related diagnoses. The Physical Therapist completes all required documentation accurately and efficiently, communicates patient information effectively across the continuum of care, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes. The role also includes participation in training, program development, and quality improvement initiatives, as well as representing the department within the medical and general community. The successful candidate will consistently demonstrate competence in and commitment to UC San Diego Health core values. Clinic hours are primarily weekdays; however, this position will include a Saturday shift on a weekly basis to support patient access and clinic operations.

Depending on licensed experience, the selected candidate will be hired at the Physical Therapist I or Physical Therapist II level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Physical Therapy Association.

  • Physical Therapist (PT) issued by the state of California.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Less than 2 years experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in a hospital setting (PT1) OR more than 2 years experience (PT2).

  • Prior experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICAATIONS
  • Previous experience treating orthopedic diagnoses.
  • One to three (1-3) years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient clinic setting.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • May flex and float between sites as needed.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $115,597 - $152,566 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $55.36 - $73.07

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
