Job Description:

As a Lead Pubs Automation Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding the Central Publications Department's services across the airline. This role acts as the technical bridge between any department requiring controlled, revision-managed documentation (including, but not limited to, Flight Operations, Maintenance, Training, Emergency Response, Ground Operations, HR, and Safety & Security) and the technical capability within Central Publications. You'll be responsible for analyzing complex documentation workflows, translating them into robust technical requirements, and ensuring the successful configuration and integration of our Component Content Management System (CCMS) and automated publishing solutions to meet the airline's strict operational and regulatory compliance needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide analysis and modeling of current and future-state documentation workflows across multiple operational departments, including highly regulated and safety-critical content

  • Establish technical standards and best practices that support accurate, timely, and compliant automated publishing and revision control

  • Drive prioritization of documentation automation initiatives by balancing operational risk, regulatory requirements, and business value

  • Elicit, document, and validate complex functional and non-functional requirements for system configurations, automated publishing routines, integrations, and content migration strategies

  • Partner with Central Publications technical resources to design scalable and maintainable automation solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards

  • Define acceptance criteria and develop user acceptance test cases to ensure automated publishing and integrated solutions meet operational and compliance needs

  • Serve as an escalation point during testing and implementation, diagnosing and triaging complex issues to support timely resolution

  • Provide hands-on configuration support and expert guidance to ensure publishing tools and CCMS capabilities are deployed accurately and consistently

  • Serve as a primary technical liaison for operational subject matter experts, translating technical capabilities and constraints into clear, actionable information

  • Ensure automated documentation solutions support regulatory, audit, and operational requirements across the airline

  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of structured content standards such as DITA or S1000D and their application in technical documentation

  • Knowledge of controlled document management, revision control, and auditability practices in regulated environments

  • Knowledge of regulatory documentation requirements that support safe and compliant airline operations

  • Skilled in analyzing and modeling complex business and technical workflows

  • Skilled in configuring and supporting Component Content Management Systems and automated publishing pipelines

  • Skilled in validating automated publishing outputs and supporting testing activities

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical requirements that support business and operational needs

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners at varying levels of the organization

  • Ability to assess compliance, risk, and scalability impacts within automated documentation environments

  • Ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor for automated documentation and publishing solutions

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Expert-level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:

    • Leading the analysis and design of enterprise-level documentation or content management solutions

    • Automating complex, regulated documentation workflows across multiple operational areas

    • Partnering with senior stakeholders to influence technical direction and long-term capabilities

  • Preferred experience acting as a liaison between the business/customers and the development team, gathering requirements and communicating updates and progress

  • Preferred advanced experience working with Content Management Systems

  • Preferred advanced-level experience and specialized knowledge in developing strategies, plans, and solutions to address complex or ambiguous problems

  • Preferred advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in solving complex problems, and driving multiple stakeholders towards implementable solutions

  • Preferred excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority

  • Previous experience communicating effectively with all levels of employees up to and including executive levels (written, oral, interpersonal)

  • Ability to storytell through PowerPoint is preferred

  • Ability to perform work duties from a limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time

  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards

Pay & Benefits
* Competitive market salary from $125,900 per year to $139,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
