Position Title Design and Operations Strategist for Honors & Undergraduate Research
FLSA Non-Exempt
FT/PT Part Time
Hours Per Week 25
Work Schedule M-F 11am - 4pm
Position Salary Range $20/hr
Summary
Provides administrative support in the Office of Honors and Undergraduate Research and assists with day-to-day operations. Helps to promote and coordinate unit programs and events. Assists with the development and maintenance of program and office promotional materials.
Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Honors Inbox monitoring
  • Information dissemination (e.g., event sign-ups, Canvas Monday Mashups/opportunity postings/materials and end of semester reflection updates)
  • Data gathering/analysis (e.g., cohort program requirements)
  • Instagram oversight/approvals
  • Cohort management phone calls
  • Event sign-ins
  • Honors contract management
  • Attends editorial team meetings for the Journal for Research in Progress
  • Interacts with students/visitors to answer questions and provide information
  • Provides administrative support for special Honors and Undergraduate Research projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required Associate's degree
Experience Required
* Associates of Arts degree in education, sociology, business or related field and two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to administration required.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software applications
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to prioritize and effectively work on concurrent projects and tasks.
* Ability to use own initiative to identify and deal with issues as they arise.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Regular attendance is a requirement of this job.
* Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.
