The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our multi-facility academic department. The successful candidate will provide exceptional clinical care within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to advancing the Department's strategic initiatives, and support the educational mission of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
This is a clinically focused faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We welcome candidates with a motivation to build a thriving clinical practice and a strong interest in radiation oncology postgraduate education programs. Clinical areas of focus are flexible depending on our needs and evolving trends in practice. Successful candidates will have a dynamic and collaborative practice style with outstanding organizational, physician engagement and communication expertise. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
The Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health oncology service line is the largest academic health care system in NJ with a service area covering nine counties and a population of five million people. The Institute is the only
NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state of NJ, and operates the recently completed Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center- a 12 story, 520,000 square foot freestanding cancer hospital in New Brunswick. A broad range of technology is available for clinical application throughout our facilities including the full range of linear accelerator based external beam therapy, GammaKnife,
IMRT,
IGRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy and proton beam therapy. The practice conducts a number of cooperative group trials, investigator-initiated trials, has an
ACGME accredited MD residency program at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School along with a
CAMPEP accredited medical physics residency program.
Candidates must have and MD/DO degree, be board certified/eligible in Radiation Oncology, and be eligible for a NJ Medical License. Faculty are expected to support the educational goals and activities of the School, and as such will be expected to be involved in teaching activities for medical students and residents as well as targeted lectures in their area of expertise.
