Working within the Supply Chain Planning team, this individual will have responsibility for coordinating and supporting Demand Forecasting and Demand Management for Industrial Paper Packaging (IPP) North America.

A successful candidate will serve as a business system owner for forecasting while engaging, challenging, and supporting the commercial organization's processes for securing and managing demand forecasts as well as integrating business intelligence from internal and external sources to create and manage demand forecasts.

This would include metrics and processes for Forecast Consumption, Forecast Accuracy and Attainment, and providing guidance to the business when demand is deviating from expectations both near-term and long-term. A strong analytical candidate with excellent communication skills, and a passion for Continuous Improvement will excel in this role.

As a leader on our Sales and Operations Planning Team, this individual will be responsible for facilitating Demand Review meetings and speaking to forecast related issues across IPP NA in a variety of leadership team forums. Primary responsibility for coordination with other internal and external demand sources of demand, for the sake of developing forecasts and improving forecasting processes.

This individual will work in support of commercial, operations, finance, and customer service & production planning teams to refine and execute the integrated business plan. This includes, but is not limited to, support of forecasting, budgeting, forecast consumption, production plans, inventory management, Sales and Operations Planning, recommending targets, goals and objectives for Supply Chain related metrics, and the management and maintenance of relevant supply chain data.

We seek an individual with strong communication skills and a passion for excellence in supply chain planning and continuous improvement.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Ideal candidates would have a technical education and experience in supply chain management, demand forecasting, demand management, operations research, engineering, or similar fields. Experience in Sales and Operations Planning, statistical demand forecasting is not required but highly valued.

  • This position is designed as an analytical support role for the IPP Supply Chain Planning team, with a focus on S&OP, but will support the entire supply chain team as needed in all tasks.

  • This position is in a developmental career path for future supply chain, logistics, supply management, operating excellence, or production planning leadership positions.

  • This person must have very high competency in MSOffice Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • This person will be expected to work closely with IT and Business Systems resources on Power BI, Oracle, Fusion, Logility, and OptiVision.

  • This person will be expected to develop his / her own data extract capabilities using crystal reports, WEBI or other systems.

  • This person should possess or be willing to pursue important Supply Chain certifications, like APICS CPIM and APICS CSCP.

  • Experience with SPS, or similar programs supporting a Culture of Excellence is a plus.

This position is located in Hartsville, SC with some consideration for a partially-remote work schedule.
