Admissions Clerk

Location: Mike O'Callahan Military Medical Center (MOMMC), Nellis AFB - Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8hour shifts between 0700-1900

The Admissions and Disposition Clerk manages patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in a military hospital setting. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and families while ensuring accurate documentation, data entry, and compliance with DoD and HIPAA requirements.

Admit patients by greeting visitors, verifying identification and insurance, and creating patient records
• Coordinate patient discharges and transfers, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
• Update electronic health records (EHR) and scan required forms
• Track patient status and bed availability
• Explain patient rights, obtain consent signatures, and assist patients in highpressure situations
• Review required documentation (e.g., AF Form 577 or equivalent) during inpatient stays

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Experience in a medical office, hospital, insurance, or clerical role preferred
• Proficiency with computer systems and EHR platforms
• Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy regulations
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain base access to Nellis AFB
