Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of project-specific safety plans and company safety programs
- Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and observations under the direction of senior safety staff
- Support daily safety activities including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and orientation training
- Help track and maintain safety documentation, training records, and inspection reports
- Assist with incident, near-miss, and accident investigations, including documentation and follow-up actions
- Promote safe work practices by engaging with field crews, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, project requirements, and company safety standards
- Participate in safety meetings and collaborate with project leadership to support a strong safety culture
- Serve as a safety resource on the jobsite with guidance from the Project Safety Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required)
- 0-2 years of experience in construction safety, internships, or related field experience
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and willingness to continue learning regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with field personnel
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Construction Site Environment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and work outdoors
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels
Office Environment
- Administrative tasks including documentation and reporting
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and lift 5-20 pounds occasionally
