Postdoctoral Research Scholar - Narayanan Lab

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Neurology is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Post Doctoral Research Scholar for the Narayanan Laboratory. This position will provide scientific and technical leadership in the management, design, and conduct of basic pre-clinical and/or clinical research. The postdoc will also participate in didactics, research, and teaching when available.

Duties to include:

• Designing and executing experiments
• Maintaining clinical databases
• Collecting and analyzing data
• Assisting with writing and revising manuscripts, grant proposals, abstract submission, and publications
• Coordinating and managing pre-clinical or clinical trials

Please note: This position is for a limited duration not to exceed five (5) years unless there are unusual circumstances.

Required Qualifications

• MD or PhD in related discipline. PhD in neuroscience preferred.
• Research experience at the graduate level. Research experience in neuroscience preferred.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, R, or Python.
• Excellent laboratory and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
