Strategic Account Consultant

Under minimal direction, manages strategic high-impact accounts, partnerships, programs, or initiatives that often have an enterprise reach across lines of business. Partners with internal and external business leaders to envision, define, and initiate creative solutions that will drive growth, retention, and revenue goals and objectives. Provides direction and guidance to key internal and external stakeholders to foster innovation, socialize market trends, customer needs, and identify mutually beneficial opportunities that expand partnerships, with a focus on achieving successful outcomes that realize additional growth and revenue.

Partners with internal and external business leaders in envisioning and strategic planning efforts to expand partnerships that promote growth and retention

Develops roadmaps/implementation plans to achieve creative vision and strategic plans

Establishes and manages the governance structure for the vision and strategic plan

Manages internal and external communications with key stakeholders, and sponsors

Performs risk assessments for creative strategies and plans, and manages escalation of issues as needed

Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, financial, and technical performance of strategic plans and solutions

Assesses resource needs and plans for the strategic roadmap, ensuring maximum efficiency in resource allocation across business areas

Operates with a fiscally fit mindset that seeks to balance external market demands with internal capabilities, priorities, and resources

Participates with key stakeholders in the development of the budget, financial projections, and forecasted ROI for the strategic roadmap

Aids in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, and coordinates the preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts

Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, facilitates solutions to problems, and directs the work of team members assigned to the strategic plan from various departments and/or lines of business

Works with stakeholders, business partners, and team members to ensure plans are completed on time and within budget, and deliver the intended business results and value

Acts as a leader to build an effective matrixed team with a shared vision to develop and deliver creative solutions for expanding customer partnerships

Clearly communicates roles and expectations to team members

Creates and delivers information at an appropriate level for the audience, including presentations and status updates

Gains needed support from key stakeholders to lead and manage changes to successfully execute the strategic plan

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

6+ years of experience in strategic account management for key complex customers

Relies on extensive experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Proven ability to navigate complex situations through organizational landscape and with multiple stakeholders

Strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams

Ability to drive results through informal authority, serve as a consultant to key business partners, and represent customers in every thought and interaction

Proven ability to successfully manage risks/issues through quality decision-making and problem solving

Ability to elicit cooperation from internal cross-enterprise senior management as well as external customers

Demonstrates ability to be a decision-maker showing balanced consideration of business issues, risks, and rewards

Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Strong business aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strategic skills to support envisioning work, strategic planning and measuring results

Willing to travel as required (estimate 10%)

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
