Description

Join us and be a part of our Mission and Purpose. The Manufacturing Scheduler is responsible for scheduling, planning and interplant transportation of plastics production operations for all facilities.

Starting wage range for this position is: $55,000 to $64,000 depending on experience.

Essential Functions:



  • Work Closely with Sales; Engineering and Operations Teams in the bidding process for Government and Commercial Services to ensure that contracts are compliant.
  • Generate item numbers as necessary in ERP system for all production related items and componentry.
  • Generate Bills of Materials and Routings within ERP system for Sub-Assemblies and Finished Goods
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization. Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or unforeseen disruptions. This includes the generation of work orders for the manufacturing processes; receipt and closing of those work orders and publishing of schedules for production.
  • Coordinate with maintenance necessary machinery down time to reduce adverse effects of timely completion of orders while still ensuring machine performance and efficiencies.
  • Monitor Inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production and avoid delays, including, but not limited to the initiation and performance of cycle count functions.
  • Generate Intra company truck schedules to ensure products are distributed to the correct facility at the correct time.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Back up to other staff functions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ensure adherence to all current company policies.
  • Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in business or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years related experience.
  • Advanced ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
  • Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
  • Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation.
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
  • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license and Satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR); subject to annual review


Environment and Physical Demands:



  • A traditional work week (M-F) with MDI core hours. Work during non-traditional hours periodically required.
  • Continuously works in a typical office setting which includes;

    • Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking.
    • Occasionally lift, reach, rotate hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch


  • Occasionally works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, odors and temperature fluctuations).
  • Basic vision required
