Job Description

Position Summary

The EHS & Facilities Coordinator supports the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Facilities departments by assisting with safety programs, regulatory compliance, facility maintenance coordination, and workplace organization initiatives. This role helps ensure the workplace remains safe, compliant, and operational by supporting inspections, documentation, maintenance coordination, and safety improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Health & Safety Support

  • Assist with the implementation of company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Help coordinate and track employee safety training and maintain training records.
  • Maintain safety documentation including SDS files, regulatory records, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities including waste management and chemical handling requirements.

Facilities Coordination

  • Coordinate facility maintenance requests and track work orders.
  • Assist with facility inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Help coordinate repairs, equipment servicing, and facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with contractor coordination and ensure contractors follow site safety requirements.
  • Support the upkeep of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure.

Documentation & Administrative Support

  • Organize, file, and maintain facility and safety documentation and records.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and maintained according to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and communications related to EHS and facilities activities.
  • Maintain records for inspections, training, maintenance activities, and compliance tracking.

Continuous Improvement & Workplace Organization

  • Support workplace organization initiatives such as 6S programs.
  • Participate in safety and facility improvement projects.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and workplace organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental or occupational safety related field highly preferred
  • 3 years' or more experience in a manufacturing environment preferrably in EHS or Maintenance field
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math/statistical skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Self-starter, team oriented,
  • Capable of conducting Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) and risk management assessments
  • Working knowledge of Federal/State Regulatory Requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA)
  • Working knowledge of chemical safety and industrial hygiene.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational skills (with emphasis on time management) and attention to detail.
