What does a Senior Manager of Legal Operations & Paralegal do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Senior Manager, Legal Operations/Paralegal will support the Legal Team by managing complex legal matters while navigating internal and external stakeholder relationships. This individual will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic initiatives to streamline workflows and contract lifecycle management. This individual will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer and operate as a strategic leader for legal operations, ensuring scalable, efficient, and business aligned delivery of legal services across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:



  • Leads the development and execution of legal operations strategy, aligning legal capabilities, resources, and service delivery models with enterprise and functional business priorities
  • Owns department level operational governance, including policies, workflows, controls, and standards impacting multiple business units or functions
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership, translating business strategy into operational, financial, and technology initiatives for the Legal function
  • Exercises decision making authority over legal operations investments, including technology roadmaps, vendor selection, and alternative legal service provider engagement
  • Leads complex, cross functional initiatives (e.g., enterprise contract transformation, spend optimization, AI enabled legal tools) from design through implementation and change management
  • Defines, monitors, and enforces department level performance standards and accountability across internal legal staff, vendors, and managed service providers
  • Builds and develops legal operations capability by mentoring staff, guiding indirect resources, and influencing peers and leaders across Finance, IT, HR, and Procurement


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Technology, or Law required

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school preferred


  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in legal operations, business operations, or comparable corporate functions required
  • 8+ years experience operating in large, complex, and matrixed organizations preferred.Experience in large corporations preferred
  • Strong business acumen, financial management (P&L), and proficiency in legal tech platforms
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad latitude for judgment and decision making, including authority to make department level operational, financial, and technology decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including talent development, indirect team leadership, and complex vendor management
  • Ability to assess emerging legal technologies, including automation and AI enabled tools, and apply them to improve legal service delivery
  • Strong sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience managing complex vendor ecosystems, including outside counsel, legal service providers, and technology partners, with accountability for performance, value, and outcomes
  • Strong enterprise mindset with the ability to balance operational execution and strategic impact, ensuring legal operations activities support long term organizational goals
  • Awareness and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis), matter management, and document management systems
  • Strong data analysis skills to measure and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite
