Job Description

Job Summary:



Perform a wide variety of electronic or mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Perform the various tasks necessary to assemble electronic assemblies for production. Perform assembly and installation steps for the components required in production assemblies. The Lead will also train, coach and give guidance to less experienced employees.



Job Responsibility:



  • Performs a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, sub-assemblies and on up to the Top-Level rack/chassis.
  • Work with assembly drawings, parts lists, and military specifications.
  • Maintains and repairs custom Special Test Equipment (STE), which includes reworking circuit card assemblies to J-STD-001 standards.
  • Populates and solders circuit card assemblies from assembly drawings and bills of material.
  • Meet/exceed production schedules and deadlines while adhering and complying with designated quality standards.
  • Maintains logs, paperwork, and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices.
  • Support production line activities and other project miscellaneous tasks on occasion on an as needed basis.
  • Coach, train, and be a mentor to less experienced employees.


Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Soldering skills in compliance with J-STD-001 standards.
  • Working/adhering to IPC-A-610 Quality standards.
  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic mechanical assembly skills.
  • Ability to read Assembly Drawings, Parts Lists and Assembly Instructions.
  • Knowledge and awareness of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) processes and procedures.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and flexibility is key.
  • Ability to work with general instructions and interact well with other team members while performing daily activities.
  • Fluent writing/reading in English as well as general Math skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with AS9100 practices.
  • Familiarity with reading and building to Schematics.
  • Some management/leadership skills.

  • Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged sitting, twisting and working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required. Occasional Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and gripping is required daily.
  • Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Ability to safely control surgical razor blades and small hand tools used to manipulate tuning stub under a microscope. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.

Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position
* $50,600.00 - $101,200.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $56,700.00 - $113,300.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $59,700.00 - $119,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
