The Athletic Trainers scope of practice emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-centered care and interprofessional collaboration (bocatc.org) while also ensuring the Athletic Trainer possesses the knowledge, clinical judgement and technical skills required for safe, effective practice (nata.org) Within the ambulatory environment, ATCs are essential members of the care team-supporting efficient clinic flow, optimizing patient readiness, and enhancing access and quality across multiple specialties.
