Global Furniture Group has an immediate career opportunity fora Warehouse Representative intheLawnside, NJ Area. This candidate willperform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unloading, sorting, and staging products.
  • Sorting, staging, and preparing orders for shipmentsutilizingRF scanning system; manually pulling specialized,non RFscannerproductas needed (sample chairs, parts, literature, etc.)
  • Sorting and placing stock products on racks, shelves or in bins according to assigned bin location.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 50-80lbs, occasionally team-lift and/or team-move objects that weigh 80-150lbs.
  • Complete,maintaindaily, weekly maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Communicate any issues with specific shipping, delivery, packaging and tagging requirements to Customer Care, Warehouse Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Respond to both internal and external customer requests ina timelymanner.
  • Complete work accurately,timelyand witha high levelof attention to detail.
  • Assistin performing inventory cycle counts.
  • Maintains Safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, andwork stationsneat, sweep,dustand mop. Always organizewarehouseand work area for orderliness.
  • Safelyoperateall warehouse PIT including forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, clamptrucksand pallet jacks.
  • Wear all proper safety equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, report incidents promptly, andparticipatein training sessions.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 yrs.previouswarehouseexperience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, salespersonneland internal staff. Excellent time management skills.
  • Previousforklift experience preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledgepreferred.
  • Basic RF scanner knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to pass PIT certifications provided by Global.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and/orcold weatherconditions.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, with occasional sitting. The role requires frequent use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, and the ability to talk and hear. The employee will frequently climb or balance and may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The position involves regularly lifting and/or moving objects weighing 50-80 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects weighing between 80-150 pounds.

The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, outdoors in varying weather conditions, and in extreme heat.

COMPENSATION/ BENEFITS

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Global, an individual may not be hired at the high end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each potion and candidate. (If a bonus or commissions see below for additional sentence).
