General Description Under general supervision, receives and processes monies received for a variety of County fees and rents a variety of recreation-oriented equipment at an assigned park or facility. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in a state licensed school, high school, college, or university and must be at least 16 years of age and must demonstrate student status for the duration of the appointment.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
None.
Preferences:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, early mornings and holidays.
Additional Information:

SCOPE OF WORK
-
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary. Interacts with public, County staff, or vendors in order to obtain goods/services, assist them in using Department services, equipment, programs, and/or facilities, collect fees, answer questions, identify their service needs or locate missing materials.
Processes money received in order to account for park user fees.
Trains less experienced staff in the use of a variety of concession facility equipment and work activities in order to ensure that employees use the equipment properly and complete assignments correctly.
Balances cash drawer in order to ensure money (bills, coins and checks) in drawer matches funds processed.
Cleans facility and/or related equipment in order to ensure that facilities meets established standards/regulations, to ensure that rental equipment is clean and safe, and ensure a safe working environment.
Prepares a variety of contracts in order to regulate and document use of park facilities/equipment and establish fees to be collected.
Maintains adequate amounts of a variety of supplies, materials and equipment in order to ensure availability of items needed for efficient operation.
Issues rental equipment in order to generate revenue, provide recreation equipment for customer use, and control inventory of equipment.

Physical Demands
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Depending on area of assignment, for the safety and wellbeing of our horses, as well as our patrons and staff, we have a weight limit of 225 pounds for the rider. Performs light work that involves walking or standing most of the time and involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis, or skill, adeptness and speed in the use of fingers, hands or limbs on repetitive operation of electronic office equipment within moderate tolerances or limits of accuracy.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment)
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken. None.
