Description

UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Sr Financial Analyst - Ops FP&A to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Driving the company's financial planning processes, delivering high-quality insights, and supporting executive-level decision-making. This role partners closely across departments to forecast performance, evaluate business opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen financial discipline throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepare enterprise-level financial planning for the annual budgeting process for non-mature and joint venture assets, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.

2. Prepare the monthly forecasts and deliver strategic insights and guidance to senior Operations leaders to inform decision-making and operational adjustments.

3. Provide senior management with weekly performance intelligence, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to drive operational excellence.

4. Shape executive-level communications including executive presentations and key strategic discussions.

5. Drive market intelligence efforts, including in-depth market research and the development of comprehensive analysis tools that support long-term growth planning.

6. Perform financial due diligence for new development, acquisition, and redevelopment opportunities to support strategic investment decisions.

7. Assess economic and industry indicators to evaluate market conditions, forecast future opportunity areas, and strengthen investment strategy.

8. Assist portfolio strategy through market and industry analysis that informs concentration risk, diversification, and capital allocation priorities.

9. Evaluate capital improvement initiatives and present strategic recommendations that optimize asset performance and enterprise value.

10. Prepare quarterly earnings call materials, ensuring clear, strategic communication to investors and analysts.

11. Conduct financial analysis and reporting for Board of Directors meetings, elevating strategic topics and performance narratives.

12. Deliver high-impact, ad-hoc analysis in support of the COO and Investor Relations to address emerging priorities and strategic questions.

13. Monitor and interpret industry news and trends, assessing implications for business strategy and competitive positioning.

14. Maintain recurring reporting for various stakeholders across the organization, as necessary. This includes but is not limited to daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting on a variety of KPI's that impact the business.

15. Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics: or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

2. Graduate degree is a plus.

3. Minimum of two to four years' experience in market research and/or finance function.

4. Minimum three years' experience in a real estate position, preferably REIT experience with a concentration in finance and operations.

Salary Range:
* $90,000.00/yr. - $105,000.00/yr., depends on experience

Bonus Potential:
* Eligible for 10% annual bonus potential, based on personal and company performance
