Associate Director - P&C Actuarial Pricing

Location: Hybrid (Chicago, Minneapolis, New York)

Role Overview

Aon's Strategy & Technology Group (STG) is seeking an experienced credentialed actuary to help grow an advisory capability focused on property & casualty insurance. This role supports complex client engagements across pricing and predictive modeling use cases and contributes to the development of a differentiated actuarial pricing offering within STG.

The role blends hands-on analysis with client advisory work. The successful candidate will develop and evaluate pricing strategies, and build and refine rating structures, while working closely with client stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical, interpretable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and support actuarial pricing analyses across P&C insurance use cases, including rate adequacy, territorial analysis, and rating plan development.
  • Apply GLMs to model pure premium using large, complex insurance datasets.
  • Translate business problems into analytical solutions and clearly communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effectively manage client engagements from problem definition through delivery, ensuring analytical rigor and actionable outcomes.
  • Partner with reinsurance brokers and senior team members to deliver industry-leading client solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and development to junior team members.
  • Support proposal development, client presentations, and RFPs as needed in collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience within property & casualty insurance.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • FCAS credential preferred.
  • Prior experience conducting rate filing research using SERFF, including review of filing support, exhibits, regulatory correspondence, and objection handling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly and concisely.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $180,000-$200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
