Position Summary
The Engineering Technician supports engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance
activities within an NQA-1 compliant manufacturing environment. This role assists
engineers in the development, documentation, inspection, testing, and continuous
improvement of products and processes. The technician ensures that all work activities are
performed in accordance with applicable procedures, drawings, specifications, and
regulatory requirements while maintaining strict traceability and documentation
standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to engineering staff for manufacturing, testing, and
inspection activities.
* Perform test support activities using calibrated measurement equipment.
o Will be trained/certified in ASNT Level II Leak Testing and ASNT Level II
Penetrant Testing in addition to internal testing training/certifications.
* Interpret and modify engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures to
support production and quality verification.
* Support configuration control and document control processes in accordance with
NQA-1 requirements.
* Record and maintain engineering and quality records ensuring complete traceability
and documentation compliance.
* Assist with root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous
improvement initiatives.
* Support qualification testing, validation activities, and equipment setup.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve
technical issues.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
* Update/create drawings and models as necessary.
Required Qualifications
* Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related
technical field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role preferred.
* Experience working in regulated environments such as nuclear, aerospace, defense,
or medical manufacturing is highly desirable.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical
specifications.
* Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD Software.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working under NQA-1, ISO 9001, or other regulated quality systems.
* Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and
CMM equipment.
* Knowledge of configuration management and document control processes.
* Experience supporting qualification testing or product validation.

Working Conditions
* Work performed in both office and manufacturing environments.
* May require standing, walking, and use of inspection equipment on the production
floor.
* Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Must follow all safety and quality procedures required for controlled manufacturing
environments.
* Potential travel (<5-10%).
