  • Perform a variety of tasks involving operation of radiographic equipment and other devices as necessary.
  • Obtain complete history and position patients using immobilization when necessary and explain procedure to patients.
  • Calculate appropriate exposure factors and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
  • Assist Radiologists and other health care practitioners with invasive procedures.
  • Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/employee safety
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Currently attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • High School diploma or GED
