The division of Medical Education within the UC San Diego School of Medicine consists of the following units: Undergraduate Medical Education, Admissions & Student Affairs, Diversity and Community Partnerships, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education & Faculty Development, Simulation Education, Physician Assistant Education, Anatomical Services, Business Affairs and Educational Technology. The division supports the education, training and co-curricular activities of approximately 560 medical students, 90 physician assistant students, 1000 residents and fellows as well as the faculty, physician and healthcare providers at UCSD's School of Medicine, its' Medical Centers, and affiliates. The Business Systems Analyst is instrumental in ensuring that medical education related business processes operate optimally and evolve with the changing needs of the Unit of Education Technology, Assessment and Evaluation. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry-wide business process and analysis practices, data analytics, and organizational policies and procedures. Leads the integration and configuration of Business Processes, Evaluation Systems, and Learning Management System, while leveraging data warehouse sources to design and deliver meaningful Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions. Documents and defines the architecture, requirements, and process flows; configures systems; and ensures proper test cases are developed and executed. Extracts, transforms, and analyzes data from the enterprise data warehouse to build interactive BI dashboards that surface actionable insights for stakeholders across the medical education unit. Responsible for application of advanced business process analysis concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues with variable factors. Resolves a wide range of business process and data-related issues of moderate to complex scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods, visualization techniques, and analytical approaches to obtain solutions. Ensures operational excellence by training personnel on BI tools and dashboard usage, providing reports, and delivering ongoing support as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $79,200 - $143,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.93 - $68.68 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
