Position: Purchasing Specialist Location:Berkeley Heights, NJ (100% On-Site) Length:Permanent Job Description: The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for coordinating purchases for the company including supplies, inventory products, raw materials and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage supplier and vendor relationships Maintain records of goods ordered and received Locate vendors of materials, equipment and supplies, and determine availability, terms of sales, costing and other key product information. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement Experience working within ERP systems UnderstandingofSagesystem Strong sourcing capabilities, including the ability to research suppliers, obtain multiple quotes, and evaluate options-not just process purchase orders Highly organized and process-oriented, with a focus on improving efficiency and challenging existing workflows when needed Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
