Purpose of the Role

The HSE Administrator plays a vital role in supporting Worley's mission of delivering a more sustainable world by promoting a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. This position provides both field and administrative support to project teams and leadership, ensuring alignment with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Through proactive engagement, coaching, and oversight, the HSE Administrator helps drive safe operations, enhance workforce morale, and support the successful execution of projects in accordance with Worley's sustainability and operational excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site and administrative support to project teams and leadership across all health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding sessions, clearly communicating safety expectations, procedures, and company values.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Accurately document, investigate, and report incidents, injuries, and near-misses, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Deliver field-based coaching and guidance to promote safe work practices, employee engagement, and a positive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations and planning activities.
  • Prepare and present safety reports, observations, and recommendations to leadership to support proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Support environmental compliance efforts and contribute to initiatives that minimize operational impact and align with sustainability goals.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HSE systems, processes, and tools to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior personnel to strengthen team capability and overall safety performance.

Qualifications / Skillset
  • Technical school diploma with relevant HSE experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership review.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to follow established procedures and ensure compliance.
  • High level of accuracy with the ability to identify errors and perform thorough self-checks.
  • Familiarity with HSE systems, processes, and digital tools, with a willingness to further develop technical expertise.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and relationship building.
  • Ability to work under general supervision while adapting to changing project priorities and environments.
