What to Expect
We're seekinga highly motivated and experienced TechnicalProgram/ProductManager (TPM) to join the fastest growing area of Tesla:Energy.This is a unique opportunity to blend your product management acumen withatechnical orsoftware engineering background to drive the successful delivery of complexproducts. These will be some of the highestvisibility technicalprogramson the Energy Team. You will be the glue that binds product vision, engineering execution, and cross-functional collaborationamongst firmware, software, product, and serviceengineering teams to ensure we build therightfeatures, the right way, and at the right timefor internal and external users.While this role does not require you tocome in as an expert on battery and energy systems,you will work on Megapacks, Superchargers, andPowerwalls. Asuccessful candidate will be one who is curiousand can learn quickly aboutgrid-scaleelectrification and Energy systems. This is arewardingrole where you can directly change the trajectory ofproducts that accelerate our transition to a renewable energy future.

What You'll Do
  • Technical Project Management:Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects, frominceptionto launch. This includes definingwhat we are building for users, theproject scope, timelines,engineeringresource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitatecommunication and collaboration betweenfirmware, software, serviceengineering, and applications engineering teams to ensurealignment and transparency throughout the program'slifecycle

  • Software Engineering Expertise: Leverageyour software engineeringor technicalbackground to understandengineeringchallenges, contribute to technical discussions, and effectively communicate with engineering teams.This role requires that you have familiarity with Github and that you can write code(note: There will be a codingportionduring the interview process.)

  • Process Improvement: Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency, quality, and predictability

  • Risk Management:Proactivelyidentifyand mitigate potential risks and roadblocks, escalating issues asneededand developing contingency plans

  • Metrics & Reporting:Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including Directors and VPson project status, risks, and dependencies


What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a software developmentor technicalprogram environment

  • Solid understanding of software development methodologiesandsoftware development lifecycles; hands-on frontend or backend software engineering experience is a significant advantage

  • Sound judgement in identifying appropriate use cases for AI solutions while recognizing technical limitations and constraints

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to be clear and concise

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including knowledge of SQL and basic table structures

  • Experiencewithproject management tools (e.g., Jira, MicrosoftThinkCell)

    Expected Compensation
    $96,800 - $336,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
