The Recruiting Manager will lead the daily operations and performance of a recruiting team supporting hiring needs across multiple Patterson-UTI business units. This role is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient delivery of staffing and recruiting outcomes, managing the conversion of large applicant pools into hires while also driving proactive recruiting strategies to attract both active and passive talent.

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Recruiting Manager will lead a professional recruiting team, providing coaching, performance management, and direction to ensure consistent execution and strong hiring outcomes. This role requires a balance of operational discipline and strategic leadership, with a focus on meeting hiring demand, improving processes, and elevating the overall capability of the recruiting function.

The Recruiting Manager will partner closely with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR to align recruiting strategies with workforce needs, while also contributing to the ongoing transformation of Talent Acquisition into a more standardized, data-driven, and scalable function.

This role will work under the direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition and will align and coordinate activities with other HR functions both locally and nationally.

Detailed Description:

* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the recruiting team, ensuring delivery against hiring targets across multiple business units and role types.
* Coach, mentor, and develop recruiters to improve performance in sourcing, candidate management, stakeholder engagement, and execution.
* Partner with business leaders, HR, and hiring managers to develop and execute recruiting strategies that meet workforce demand and hiring timelines.
* Drive both staffing and recruiting activities, including high-volume applicant processing as well as proactive sourcing and pipeline development for critical roles.
* Monitor and manage recruiting performance through KPIs, metrics, and reporting, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
* Establish clear expectations and standards for recruiting processes, ensuring consistency in how requisitions are managed from intake through hire.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, improve applicant flow, and enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience.
* Support the adoption and effective use of recruiting systems, tools, and technology, including Applicant Tracking Systems and reporting capabilities.
* Collaborate with TA leadership and cross-functional partners to advance recruiting processes, tools, and overall operational effectiveness.
* Manage recruiter workload and capacity to ensure alignment with hiring priorities and business needs.
* Address and resolve operational challenges, providing timely solutions to maintain hiring momentum.
* Promote and support a diverse and inclusive hiring approach aligned with company objectives.
* Recruit for key roles as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
* Proven experience leading, coaching, and managing recruiting teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
* Strong understanding of recruiting operations, including applicant flow management, sourcing strategies, and full-cycle recruiting processes.
* Experience establishing and managing KPIs, metrics, and reporting to drive performance and accountability.
* Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, recruiting technology, and process improvement initiatives.
* Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local hiring laws and best practices for compliance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and evolving environment.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with stakeholders.
* Ability to travel as needed to support hiring events and business operations.
* Ability and willingness to work extended schedules as required to meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related field
* 8 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience including high-volume hiring
* 3 years of experience leading or supervising recruiting teams

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience recruiting within the Oil & Gas or industrial services industry
* Experience supporting field, operational, and technical hiring at scale
* Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) applicant tracking system

Additional Details:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled office environment with minimal safety or health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting and frequent use of a computer and other office equipment. Occasional travel to other Company offices and worksites, including remote locations, may be required while wearing designated personal protective equipment (PPE).
