The Front Office Manager oversees daily front desk operations, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional guest service. This role leads and develops the front office team, maintains operational and financial standards, and collaborates across departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:


  • Oversee daily front office operations to ensure smooth, efficient guest service.

  • Lead, coach, and develop front office team to maintain high performance and engagement.

  • Assist in recruiting, selecting, and retaining a high-quality front office team.

  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by proactively resolving issues and maintaining service standards.

  • Manage scheduling, labor costs, and departmental budgets to meet financial targets.

  • Train front desk associates on hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.

  • Foster positive associate relations through effective and consistent supervisory practices.

  • Support performance management, including evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

  • Perform front desk operations, including guest check-in/check-out, handling transactions, operating systems, answering phones, and ordering supplies.

  • Oversee reservations, registration, and coordination of special arrangements for group bookings.

  • Review daily logbooks and shift reports to ensure continuity and awareness of operations.

  • Participate in or oversee the execution of promotional and marketing initiatives.

  • Prepare and review daily and period-end reports, including guest ledger and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization; assist with payroll processing.

  • Maintain accurate financial controls, including cash handling, bank deposits, change funds, checks, accounts receivable, advance deposits, credit cards, and petty cash.

  • Report all safety and security concerns involving the property, guests, and associates to the Director of Front Office Operations, including OSHA, general liability, and workers' compensation matters.

  • Represent the hotel with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Previous front office or hotel operations experience, with supervisory or management responsibility preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.

  • Excellent guest service and conflict resolution skills.

  • Solid understanding of front office systems, reservations, and cash handling procedures.

  • Ability to manage schedules, labor costs, and departmental budgets.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have valid driver's license and personal transportation.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to represent the company in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner at all times.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and reach as required to inspect and support operations throughout the hotel.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Dependable, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to work varying schedules.

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be available to work a variable schedule as operational needs require.
