Kingsbury, Inc. was founded in 1912 and is the leader in the design and manufacture of tilt-pad fluid film thrust and journal bearings for all types of rotating machinery, with thousands of installations worldwide. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Gottingen Germany.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives aligned to Kingsbury's Policy Deployment Matrix (PDM), Business Objectives, Strategic Initiatives, and 3-5 Year Breakthroughs.
  • Coach and support Project Leads and cross functional teams in the application of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement activities, including problem solving, waste elimination, and safety improvements, ensuring disciplined execution and follow-through.
  • Identify execution risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities within CI initiatives; address issues at the appropriate level and escalate significant concerns through the Corp Manager as needed.
  • Analyze process and performance data to identify improvement opportunities, validate root causes, and support datadriven decision making.
  • Partner with functional leaders to develop Continuous Improvement capability and reinforce accountability for results.
  • Support consistent use of the Quality Management System (QMS) within Continuous Improvement activities and ensure impacted team members are aware of improvement efforts.
  • Prepare, monitor, and support reporting of Continuous Improvement metrics, project progress, and results; contribute to routine communication of in process and completed work to leadership.
  • Support postimplementation sustainment and verification of Continuous Improvement results, including monitoring performance metrics, benefits realization, and adherence to standard work.
  • Promote a culture of productivity, Continuous Improvement, Lean thinking, and learning through training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices and support the documentation, sharing, and deployment of best practices across the organization.
  • Integrate change management principles into project execution by coordinating stakeholder engagement, communications, and readiness activities to support adoption, minimize disruption, and ensure successful delivery of project outcomes
  • Support other Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives as assigned.
  • Occasional travel is required, up to 15%

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement.

Preferred Experience: Lean or Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred) and experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
