Description and Requirements

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated AI Application Development Intern with a strong interest in building practical AI solutions. The role focuses on developing conversational agents, retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and LLMdriven applications. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, prototype, and evaluate AIpowered components.

This internship is ideal for graduates who have foundational technical skills and are ready to apply them in real projects while continuing to grow their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Agent Development

  • Assist in designing and developing AI agents and conversational chatbots.
  • Implement LLM-based workflows using frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
  • Contribute to prompt design, prompt optimization, and structured prompt workflows.

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

  • Help build and refine RAG pipelines including data ingestion, embedding generation, and vector search.
  • Work with vector databases and retrieval frameworks to support knowledge-based agent behaviours.

Application & Prototype Engineering

  • Develop Python-based prototypes and small-scale applications integrating LLMs.
  • Contribute to backend APIs, integration scripts, or pipeline automation as needed.
  • Support rapid prototyping and experimentation with new AI capabilities or architectures.

Testing & Evaluation

  • Participate in evaluating model accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Write and maintain tests for new AI functions and components.
  • Debug issues and collaborate on iterative improvements.

Research & Collaboration

  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and product owners to explore new ideas.
  • Participate in design discussions, demos, and innovation sessions.

Expected Skills & Background

Technical Foundations

Candidates should bring some applied experience-academic, project-based, or selfdriven-in the following areas:

  • Python programming, including data handling or scripting.
  • Familiarity with at least one AI/LLM development framework: LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
  • Understanding of embeddings, vector search, or model inference basics.
  • Experience building small applications, scripts, or AI prototypes (coursework or personal projects count).

Mindset & Working Style

  • Strong interest in applied AI engineering and agent system design.
  • Ability to work independently on welldefined tasks.
  • Willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn from feedback.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

(Not required, but beneficial)

  • Work with Azure AI, OpenAI APIs, or other LLM services.
  • Coursework in machine learning, NLP, or software engineering.

What You Will Gain

  • Real-world experience developing AI applications and agent systems.
  • Exposure to modern LLM development workflows and frameworks.
  • Mentorship from senior AI engineers and architects.
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful prototypes and innovation projects.
  • A stronger portfolio showcasing hands-on AI engineering work
