As a Warehouse Worker for PPG, you will help support manufacturing and distribution operations at PPG's Whittier, California facility. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor this entry-level position is responsible for handling, moving raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods. Additionally, it maintains the efficient flow of these items throughout designated production and warehouse areas. The Warehouse Worker ensures that materials are available to support manufacturing schedules while maintaining safety, accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.

You will follow established company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines and may involve operating motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. We provide on-the-job training, and we do not require any prior warehouse experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will receive incoming materials, shipments, and supplies and verify accuracy against packing slips or documentation

  • Safely unload materials using approved manual or mechanical handling methods

  • Label, identify, and store materials in designated warehouse or production locations

  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to manufacturing areas promptly to support production schedules

  • Help with packing, palletizing, and preparing finished goods for shipment

  • Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, once trained and authorized

  • Complete required documentation, logs, and inventory records using manual or electronic systems

  • Participate in cycle counts, inventory audits, and general stock organization activities

  • Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Immediately report safety concerns, damaged products, or equipment malfunctions to management

  • Perform additional warehouse or production-related tasks as assigned to support needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to lift materials up to required weight limits

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime

  • Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience, but not required

A base salary of $40,000 - $44,000 gross per year
