The role is based in Cedar Rapids, IA (on-site role). Upon joining and starting the role, there will be an expectation of travel. There will be a few weeks in either or both of this business' sites in Belgium/New Zealand. Where You'll Make a Difference
- Support commissioning and start-up of a new manufacturing site from a product and product performance perspective
- Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations, resolving issues related to formulation, process performance, product quality, and manufacturing behavior
- Perform and support laboratory, pilot, and industrial trials, including preparation, testing, evaluation, and documentation
- Support scale-up activities and validation of formulations, processes, and operating parameters
- Contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives related to product, process, and quality performance
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize formulations in line with Taura and IFF standards and specifications
- Participate in New Product Development projects from concept through commercial launch
- Support Quality in the assessment and approval of new and alternative raw materials, including trials and analytical testing
- Ensure accurate technical documentation, specifications, and knowledge capture in alignment with global RD&I and quality systems
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Broad technical understanding of food ingredients, formulations, and processing technologies
- Experience supporting laboratory, pilot, or industrial production environments
- Ability to work in a structured, project-based manner while managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and quality
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to translate technical knowledge into practical solutions
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with Operations, Quality, and RD&I teams
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required to support start-up and production activities
