The Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute is growing rapidly, and we're seeking dedicated Practice Assistants to join our Bostonbased teams. With several openings available across the Institute, this is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the patient care experience at one of the nation's leading academic health systems. As a Sr. Practice Assistant, you'll provide expert coordination of patient scheduling while partnering closely with both clinical and administrative members of our interdisciplinary teams. Your work will help ensure seamless access to care, efficient clinic operations, and an exceptional experience for every patient and provider you support. Sr. Practice Assistant positions offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (after successful completion of the onboarding/probationary period, 3 days on site, 2 days remote). Summary Performs administrative functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service and practice operations. Performs administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties (performs all duties of the other levels at highest proficiency level). Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records. Assist callers with routine inquiries and triage matters appropriately. Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record (EPIC). Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems. Provides assistance and training to others in these areas. May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level. Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
