The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Under the guidance of, and reporting to, the Executive Director of Husbandry Operations, the Assistant Supervisor directs the daytoday care of laboratory animals housed within the facility. This includes leading morning meetings with husbandry staff, coordinating with the Executive Director on staffing needs, and ensuring that operational priorities are met. The role focuses on providing highquality service to investigators, supporting the ongoing education and development of husbandry personnel, overseeing facility maintenance needs, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and institutional regulations and guidelines. The Assistant Supervisor must demonstrate leadership, sound judgment, and professionalism when interacting with the research community and ICM personnel. Lead a team of five technicians to ensure adherence to established husbandry and sanitation standards. Candidates must possess solid understanding of biohazard containment and regulatory requirements, and the ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. Responsibilities
