The Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for a Staff Associate II position. The Stockwell Lab operates at the interface of chemistry and biology, using small molecules to systematically uncover mechanisms underlying cellular processes. To support this research, the Staff Associate II will be responsible for overseeing the lab's mouse colony used in its experiments.

Specific Duties:

1. Perform Animal husbandry and Colony Management, including protocol administration and management - 30%

2. Conduct Animal model generation and validation - 25%

3. Sample processing and data analysis - 25%

4. Administer Compounds and perform Animal behavioral assessment - 20%

Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field required.

Prior experience working with mice is highly preferred, and understanding of biochemistry and basic biological wet lab techniques (PCR, western blot, cell culture, etc.)
