Summary: The main function of a marketing analyst/coordinator is to research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. A typical marketing analyst/coordinator is responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution. Responsibilities:
- Monitor client product reviews and Q&A on the client's website and major retailer sites.
- Manage aspects of Ratings & Reviews for Digital Appliance categories, including but not limited to review validity, syndication gaps, badging issues, at-risk SKUs, and proper, optimal SKU groupings.
- Support ratings and review analysis and compilation/shareout of reporting initiatives, including but not limited to review volume and rating trends and insights, identifiable product issues and action plans, competitor analyses, and incentive program results.
- Identify, action, and/or escalate notable issues, compiling regular reports on significant product, channel, and service issue trends.
- Work with internal teams (Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and others) to facilitate solutions and escalate issues with consumer reviews and Q&A.
- Report on PDP content health and CEJ (consumer experience journey) issues as found on .coms and facilitate solutions with internal teams.
- Leverage various industry and client-specific tools, websites, and feedback channels to fulfill duties.
- Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.
- Research consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals.
- Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data.
- Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution.
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience in online retail, retail operations, sales, merchandising, marketing, or service organizations required.
- Minimum two years' experience in analytical, internet-based reporting required. Experience with Sprinklr preferred.
- Minimum two years' project management experience required.
- Previous account management experience is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of consumer electronics products and technologies.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency required, including extensive use of a variety of Web browsing tools (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.)
- Excellent written communication skills and strong presentation skills required.
- Significant understanding of remote business tools such as smartphones, tablets, and/or laptops, including troubleshooting issues with connectivity.
Preferred Skills:
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally with customers.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
- Review detailed product development, marketing documents, and media materials as needed.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Work independently and in a team environment to achieve business objectives, personal and team goals, and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
- The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometimes vaguely defined objectives.
