EVS Supervisor

• 1. Directs and Supervises staff to ensure all operational and safety procedures are properly followed.
• 2. Establishes work schedule, plans and delegates daily work assignments to staff. Rounds daily to their responsible designated areas talking with staff ensuring cleanliness of the area.
• 3. Coordinates departmental activities with other hospital departments and maintains a working relationship with the appropriate personnel. Follows up and manages housekeeping problems.
• 4. Trains, reviews and documents staffs competencies on a quarterly basis to ensure operational and safety procedures are followed.
• 5. Participates in meetings, hospital committees, and/ or special projects.
• 6. Follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures.
• 7. Contributes to the productive management and efficient operation of the department. Orders and maintains control of materials, supplies and equipment, so that the department operates in a cost-effective manner. Back fill as needed during PTO or when census is high to ensure cleanliness of hospital.
• 8. Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION

High school or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years or equivalent work experience in a leadership role.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Good communication skills both written and verbal. Bilingual helpful but not required.

Stands and walks intermittently throughout the shift bend stoops and lifts heavy objects. Operates light equipment.
