Experienced Aviation Planner

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is looking for a talented, collaborative, and innovative problem-solver with a passion for the aviation industry and airports who wants to build a dynamic career in Aviation with a nationally recognized company. This exciting opportunity allows for professional growth and leadership through challenging and rewarding projects for a variety of aviation related clients and services. This position will be located at our Portland, OR office.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting research and developing narrative reports and graphics for system planning, master planning, economic analysis, and environmental review projects
• Leading the development of planning documents
• Providing QA/QC on documents
• Assisting with the management of airport planning and environmental projects
• Engaging in business development activities
• Interacting with clients and regulatory agencies including presenting on project findings

Occasional travel and a valid driver's license will be required.

The successful candidate must have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in urban planning, or related field from an accredited college or university -AND- at least four (4) years of relevant planning experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:

• Experience with airport master plans, airport layout plans, or airport specific planning studies
• Proficient in researching and data analysis
• Excellent writing proficiency
• Environmental / sustainability / resilience planning
• Stakeholder engagement activities
• Project management
• Professional certification (i.e. AICP, AAAE CM, LEED, PE, etc.)

Salary Range: $76,000 to $96,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
