The ENGINEERING MAINT TECH IV programs, troubleshoots and operates a controls system for at least three campuses for the Health System and School of Medicine. Performs technical reviews throughout the Health System. Investigates building systems and documents operational data. Prepares recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs and evaluations. Performs as technical leader on installations and upgrades to Facilities systems. This work is performed under the general supervision of the Manager and under the technical oversight of engineers.

Hours: Full time (40 hours), Rotating Shift, Weekend work required

Requirements/Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Specific training in the area of expertise (engineering and/or maintenance discipline) equivalent to 1 year of college; such training may be at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
  • 7 years of related work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of controls system(s) as well as the relevant local, state, federal, and regulatory stipulations and codes.
  • Advanced current knowledge of seven specialties listed below, as well as the relevant local, state, federal, and regulatory stipulations and codes.

Salary Range: Minimum 37.60/hour - Maximum 62.08/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
