Job Summary:
This role is accountable for achieving results through the application of the BCBSF Management System and is directly focused on performing the tasks of hiring, coaching, planning, and/or developing a unit or group of employees. The Accounting Manager II role models the values of the organization and provide direction to project/functional resources within and outside of their reporting structure, including continuously improving work processes.

Essential Functions:

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for managing a team of payroll accountants, providing direction and setting priorities, while ensuring their workload and capacity are effectively managed to meet deadlines and deliver high quality results
  • Responsible for reviewing the deliverables of the accounting team including journal entries, reconciliations, treasury and wire transfer or payment requests, employment tax reporting, etc., ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contributes to establishing HR budget.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Influence, interaction and decision-making spans between division and unit level.
  • Translates and contributes to business strategy.
  • Translates work programs and processes.
  • Contributes to short- and long-range planning and development.

Required Experience:
5+ years related work experience.
2+ years direct supervisory/management experience
Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:
Postgraduate degree

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $84,500 - $137,300

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $84,500 - $105,600

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
