Position Overview:
The Recreation Intern at Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort plays a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality guest experiences through recreational programming. This internship offers hands-on experience in hospitality, guest services, and event coordination while working in a dynamic resort environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about creating memorable moments for guests of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational activities for guests, including poolside games, and family-friendly programs
• Support seasonal and special events such as holiday programming, tournaments, and themed activities
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner
• Set up and break down activity areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and organization of equipment
• Promote activities and encourage guest participation throughout the resort
• Monitor activity areas to ensure guest safety and adherence to resort policies
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience
• Perform administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, preparing materials, and assisting with schedules

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university, preferably in Hospitality, Recreation, Tourism, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing, enthusiastic personality with a passion for guest engagement
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and be active for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including sun and heat
