The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.

The purpose of the Raw Receiver is to schedule load appointments, ensure SAP matches the loads that were ordered, track loads that have not met their appointment times, communicate issues with loads internally and externally in a timely manner and unload raw materials in a timely and efficient manner. The Raw Receiver would be expected to schedule and load trucks as needed and also transfer materials and/or pallets to outside areas.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. May perform other duties as assigned.

• Receive meat orders.

• Create the Weekly Inbound Log of appointment times based on the priority list.

• Review and enter appointments received and verified via email or telephone.

• Track and follow up on all rescheduled appointments and late deliveries.

  • Must reach out to logistical services and transportation within 4 hours of a missed appointment time.

  • Must include supervisor and meat scheduler on those emails.

• Review orders entered in SAP daily, at shift start and mid-shift, and notify meat scheduler of any discrepancies as soon as they are noticed.

• Communicate all internal and external issues and concerns within an hour of discovering the issue.

• Resolve refused product and/or orders that are over, short and /or damaged as directed by QA, Process Control and/or Supervisor.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

• Maintain computer inventory with SAP system and able to use Microsoft Office.

• Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.

• Ability to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
