*Associate Technical Trainer - Data Center / Low Voltage* *Location:* Onsite (Classroom & Lab Environment)
*Overview* We are seeking an *Associate Technical Trainer* to support a highvolume training program focused on *telecom and data center infrastructure*. This role is ideal for someone with a *handson technical **background* (telecom, electrical, construction, or similar trades) who is looking to transition into a *training and coaching role*. You will lead instructorled training sessions, helping entrylevel learners develop the skills needed to become *data center fiber technicians*. This role is *75%+ handson instruction* in both classroom and lab environments. *Key Responsibilities* * Deliver instructorled training (lectures, handson labs, and assessments) * Lead classroom sessions of *24-30 students* * Break down complex technical concepts for entrylevel learners * Coach and mentor students to ensure learning success * Partner with other trainers to codeliver structured training programs * Support onboarding and upskilling of technical workforce * Track performance, complete grading, and maintain training reports * Provide feedback to leadership on curriculum and learner performance * Maintain lab equipment and training environments * Stay current with telecom and data center technologies *Required Qualifications* * *3-6 years of technical experience* in telecom, electrical, construction, or similar handson fields * Experience explaining or teaching technical concepts (mentoring, onboarding, field leadership, etc.) * Strong communication and presentation skills * Comfortable speaking in front of groups daily * Ability to deliver structured, instructorled training * Exposure to structured cabling (fiber and/or copper) * Strong focus on safety, coaching, and handson learning * Ability to manage a classroom and supervise learners * High school diploma or equivalent required *Nice to Have* * BICSI certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months) * Experience with instructional design or training development * Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) * Exposure to data center operations *Schedule* * *5 days per week (onsite)* * Structured training schedule * Occasional flexibility may be required *Work Environment* * 100% onsite in a classroom and lab setting * Handson, highvolume training environment * Trainers operate in a *paired model* (coteaching) *Pay & Contract Details* * *Pay rate:* $22-$27/hr * Contract role with potential for extension * Travel may be required *Benefits (if eligible)* * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) with pretax and Roth options * Life insurance and disability coverage * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Employee Assistance Program * Paid time off (PTO, vacation, or sick leave) *Why This Role* * Transition from field work into a *training career path* * Gain experience in a *cuttingedge data center training environment* * High visibility with leadership and program stakeholders * Opportunities for advancement into Lead Trainer *or SME roles* * Develop the next generation of technical talent *Additional Requirements* * Must pass BGC * Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship) *Interview Process* * 1-2 interview rounds * Focus on communication, presentation skills, and technical experience *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
