About the role:

Onsite in Mead, CO

We are looking for an experienced Power Plant Electrical Engineer to support large-scale dispatchable generation projects, including combustion turbine facilities. You will play a critical part in both design review and construction support, ensuring that you implement electrical systems according to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and engineering best practices.

The engineer will collaborate across multiple teams to review drawings, resolve RFIs, support construction activities, and ensure overall compliance from design through execution.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Review and evaluate electrical drawings, studies, and technical submittals to ensure understanding of project specifications and design requirements
  • Analyze engineering documentation, identifying design variances for internal approval
  • Manage and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) and Non-Conformance Requests (NCRs), providing technical guidance and solutions
  • Support construction activities onsite, ensuring installation work aligns with engineering designs and project intent
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design and construction issues, providing clarity to field teams and team members
  • Collaborate with:

    • Engineering teams
    • Project managers and construction teams
    • Supply chain, environmental, and permitting groups


  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure technical compliance and execution
  • Help permit coordination with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Track and document RFIs, technical decisions, and project changes, maintaining organized records across multiple projects
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical input and support for decision-making
  • Ensure overall construction compliance with design drawings, contracts, and specifications
  • Provide ongoing technical support during commissioning and project execution phases


Qualifications:



  • 9+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • 3+ years in dispatchable generation projects (e.g., combustion turbines, power plants)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with:

    • Design review and drawing interpretation
    • RFIs and NCRs
    • Construction support for large infrastructure projects

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $72-77/hr.
