Overview The Minecraft Marketplace Player Facing Services team powers the service behind Minecraft's Marketplace, one of the main revenue drivers for the entire game. These services support hundreds of millions of Minecraftplayershelping them find content they will enjoy playing. We are constantly looking for ways to personalize the marketplace,provide recommendations toplayersand providea fun experience within the marketplace. The C# services run on K8 clusters with Linux containers,utilizingmany Azure technologies. As a software engineer in this area, you will evaluate requirements, design features, estimate development, and integrate high quality features into our products. Collaboration with peers in development, design, product, and quality will be key to delivering robust features on a predictable schedule. Responsibilities Learns to design, implement, debug, test, and review maintainable code for product features using established patterns, best practices, and AI-assisted development tools with managerial guidance. Learns to contribute to design investigations and documentation for assigned features, testing technical hypotheses and escalating findings while considering performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements. Learns to apply engineering standards to ensure security, privacy, reliability, accessibility, and compliance through disciplined processes, secure coding practices, and automated analysis tools under direct oversight. Learns to collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand user and customer requirements and incorporate feedback and insights into feature delivery with direct guidance. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. #mojangjobs #gamingjobs #EiP #IC2SWE Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
