SUMMARY: The Maintenance Planner Technician is a hands-on "working planner" role responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing and facility equipment while also coordinating and planning maintenance activities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position supports production uptime by executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, planning scheduled work, coordinating resources and parts availability, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Planner Technician works collaboratively with maintenance leadership and operations teams to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to production. Teamwork/Relationships: Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel, operations, engineering, vendors, and other departments to support operational goals and improve equipment reliability. Continual Improvement & Problem Resolution: Identify opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, planning efficiency, and cost reduction. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Accountability: Accept responsibility for assigned maintenance tasks, planning functions, and maintenance initiatives. Balance urgency, quality, and productivity while meeting deadlines and operational objectives. Training: Maintain and improve technical skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and maintenance planning disciplines. Supervision: Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Works independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with maintenance and operations teams. Responsibility: Exercises moderate to high degree of judgment in maintenance execution, planning, scheduling, and troubleshooting activities. Escalates unusual or critical issues to maintenance leadership as appropriate.
