Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Speech Pathologist (FGP) - Manhattan, Otolaryngology.NYU Langone's Voice and Swallowing Center is seeking a full-time voice-specialized speech-language pathologist with experience in the evaluation and management of voice disorders. This position is primarily clinical but offers opportunities for research and education. Our team of expert laryngologists and speech-language pathologists is dedicated to providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for a wide range of voice, swallowing, and upper airway conditions. We also specialize in caring for the performing voice, working with professional singers, actors, and other performers, as well as those who rely on their voice in their professions, including teachers, lawyers, and religious leaders. Our center also is actively involved in research, with multiple NIH-funded clinical studies and industry-funded clinical trials. This is a unique opportunity to be engaged at the forefront of voice care in the heart of New York City.

In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:Responsible for providing speech-language pathology services under supervision, and any other duties deemed necessary by the Department Head.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with laryngologists in the evaluation of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders, and participate in specified in-office procedures.

Conduct auditory-perceptual, behavioral, and instrumental vocal function assessments.

Perform flexible and rigid stroboscopy.

Provide treatment for voice and upper airway disorders.

Participate in the clinical training and supervision of graduate students.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on educational opportunities, such as academic courses, continuing education workshops, and community outreach activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:

Strong background in evaluating and treating voice and upper airway disorders in an outpatient setting.

Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

State licensure or eligibility for licensure in New York.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred; clinical Fellows (CF) will be considered.

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary clinic setting.

Additional certifications or training related to voice and upper airway therapy.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $80,730.00 - $85,730.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
