CUSTOMER INTEGRITY & THREAT DETECTION MANAGER (STARLINK) At SpaceX, we are committed to ensuring the serviceremainsa force for good and sustains trust worldwide: both connecting the unconnected and executing thorough processes to detect and prevent misuse by illicit operators. We are looking for an experienced professional to detect, disrupt,and investigate potential misuse of the service-including proactively combating and deterring illicit operators. Thispersonmust strike the careful balance of safeguarding customer information and privacy while applying enforcement measures and executing with an even-handed approach, avoiding overreach and disproportionate collateral impacts. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
- Design and developsolutions topriorityrisks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders
- Represent the team incross-functionalgroups andinappropriate areas of expertise
- Establish yourself as an expert in 2+relevant investigative techniques,technologiesorabuse prevention strategies
- Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities
- Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
- Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 12+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations in lieu of a degree
- 6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R)
- 6+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities)
- 3+ years owning anddriving improvements in processes, technology, orother business areastoimprove customer integrityor relatedcapabilities
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experienceenabling others, influencing organizational decisions, andbuilding consensus aroundsolutions tochallenging problems
- Strong analytical research and communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills
- International professionalexposure(e.g., working abroad or on global initiatives/businesses)
- Experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or vulnerability assessment in high-stakes environments
- Experience with research and intelligence analytic techniques, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) data techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Familiarity with U.S. and international economic sanctions and export control laws and regulations
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance or willingness to pursue an Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel as needed for business (15%)
- This position is based in Bastrop, TX and requires being onsite-remote work not considered
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
