Join our Float Pool Medical Assistant (MA) team and gain diverse, hands-on experience supporting a variety of specialties across Lee Physician Group. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, adaptable MA who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment and is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality patient care wherever theyre needed most.

What Youll Do
Travel to multiple practice locations across the region

Provide exceptional clinical support under the supervision of physicians and advanced practice providers

Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document in the EMR

Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and specimen processing

Assist with minor procedures and medication administration, including injections

Prepare and maintain patient care areas to ensure safe, efficient workflows

Provide patient education and clear care instructions

Coordinate prescriptions, referrals, and requests for information

Adapt quickly to different teams, specialties, and clinical workflows

Schedule
Varied, flexible schedule based on department needs

May include early/late hours, weekends, and holidays

Education
High School Diploma or GED required

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Experience
Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a physicians office or hospital outpatient department required

Hands-on experience with medication administration and injections required

Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and patient care processes preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

Certification
AAMA, CCMA, or RMA certification preferred

BLS (Basic Life Support American Heart Association) required within 90 days of hire

Skills & Knowledge
Medical terminology proficiency

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer knowledge and EMR navigation

Position Overview
The Float Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering an excellent patient experience in a collaborative, team-based environment while supporting all aspects of the medical practice under the direct supervision of a physician or physician assistant. This role ensures patient safety and high-quality care through clinical and administrative support, including phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, medication administration, documentation, and care coordination.

This position requires flexibility to float to all Lee Physician Group and Hospital Outpatient Department locations across four counties. Late hours, weekends, and holidays may be required. The Float MA reports to the assigned Manager or Supervisor and performs other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
