Job Summary The Master Planner reviews client demands, plans production orders, issues and controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production requirements and customer demand. Identifies raw material and component requirements for production. Clearly communicate with management on the status of WIP, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that adequate resources are provided. Confirms material supply and demands, prepares/releases orders to production, based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality, Maintenance, Inventory Control, Tech Services, Manufacturing/Packaging Operations, Procurement, Regulatory and Customer Service. Coordinates and monitors scheduling activities to ensure regulatory and cGMP compliance, while maintaining achievement of department and company objectives. Represents the department in the participation and contribution to teams such as project teams, continuous improvement, and SAP system enhancements. Minimum Education, Experience, Skills Bachelor's degree in business or related field. Planning and Procurement experience required. At least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment comparable to the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of cGMP's and regulated environments required. Detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solving skills required. SAP experience is desired. Certifications/Licenses APICS certification strongly preferred.
